Description

It was one of the most innovative buildings in the city in the 19th century.
The passage connects Canvis and Ciutat streets and gives access to the homes through two large stairs located in the middle of the courtyard or aisle and facing each other. Above the portal that opens to each of the two citizen roads, you can read its name and the date 1877, the year of its construction. In a neoclassical style, it was built by Mr. Ruf Franquet Alomar and if one follows the typology of its structure, it was one of the most innovative buildings in the city of the 19th century. The master of houses Josep Jacint Grifoll Castellet designed and made a decoration based on moldings that copied some of the buildings built at the time.
