This new electric tourist train<\/strong> takes you on a comfortable and sustainable journey through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the historic quarter, the shopping district, the ancient walls and the picturesque riverside.<\/p>
\nInspired by the original Carrilet<\/strong> railway that once connected Tortosa with the villages of the Ebro Delta, this new train brings an important part of the city’s heritage back to life, transforming it into a 21st-century tourist experience. It’s a fun, eco-friendly and relaxing way to explore Tortosa from a fresh perspective\u2014whether you’re visiting for the first time or rediscovering the city with new eyes.<\/div><\/div>A journey between heritage, the river, and the city<\/h2><\/p>
\nAlong the route<\/strong>, the tourist train ventures through the streets of the historic center, approaches the main heritage and commercial areas, and reaches the City Walls\u2014an itinerary that allows you to understand Tortosa’s relationship with its fortifications, the Ebro River, and the urban landscape.<\/p>
\nThe tour lets you enjoy the city’s different sides at an unhurried pace: monumental<\/strong> Tortosa, the vibrant<\/strong> commercial city, the promenades, and the riverfront. Tickets:<\/b> During the initial operating period, rides are free<\/strong>. Tickets must be collected at the Tourist Information Office<\/strong> located in the former Slaughterhouse (Escorxador), right next to the train’s departure point. Tickets are issued solely for the immediately following departure and cannot be collected in advance for other times or days. Seating is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until full capacity is reached.<\/p>
