El Carrilet Verd: discover Tortosa from a different perspective
An experience for the whole family
Inspired by the original Carrilet railway that once connected Tortosa with the villages of the Ebro Delta, this new train brings an important part of the city’s heritage back to life, transforming it into a 21st-century tourist experience. It’s a fun, eco-friendly and relaxing way to explore Tortosa from a fresh perspective—whether you’re visiting for the first time or rediscovering the city with new eyes.
A journey between heritage, the river, and the city
Along the route, the tourist train ventures through the streets of the historic center, approaches the main heritage and commercial areas, and reaches the City Walls—an itinerary that allows you to understand Tortosa’s relationship with its fortifications, the Ebro River, and the urban landscape.
The tour lets you enjoy the city’s different sides at an unhurried pace: monumental Tortosa, the vibrant commercial city, the promenades, and the riverfront. All of this aboard a quiet, emission-free train that is fully aligned with Tortosa’s commitment to more sustainable tourist mobility.
