A signature dish that honours our roots and projects Tortosa’s gastronomy into the future

👉 Take part in the process and help us name it

The White Paper on Gastronomic Tourism in Tortosa has helped us identify the products and recipes that define who we are. From this work emerges a new dish that brings together traditional flavours with modern techniques.
It does not yet have a name, because we want you to be part of this story and help us give it one.

Memory is cooked, the future is shared

A dish with the soul of Tortosa

Abadejo (salt cod) served on a bed of galera ajoblanco, with olive crumb, petals of confit tomato, and a fresh touch of orange and aromatic herbs from the Terres de l’Ebre.

A reflection of who we are: diversity, tradition and innovation.

Help us give it a name

Be part of Tortosa’s story — a cuisine of memory

Entre els participants que proposen un nom i els que votin es sortejaran dos àpats per a 2 persones en un restaurant de Tortosa, un per cada tipus de participació.

This dish belongs to Tortosa and to its people. That’s why we want both residents and visitors to decide what it should be called.
Your proposal could become part of the city’s gastronomic history.

Put forward your name and then come and taste it in local restaurants. A people’s memory is also something that is cooked and shared.

What you can do:

  • Suggest a name: send your proposal by email to turisme@tortosa.cat (including your full name and telephone number), or fill in a form at the tasting event on Friday 26 September at 7.30 pm at the Casal Tortosí.

  • Vote for your favourite among the selected names.

Participants who submit a name, as well as those who vote, will be entered into a draw to win two meals for two people at a restaurant in Tortosa — one prize for each type of participation.
