Description
At 10:00 am we will visit one of the 20 aircraft shelters in the city, with capacity for four hundred people, was the largest in Tortosa. It is a system of galleries excavated with pavement of earth and lined with bricks and concrete, ventilated and with modest electrical installation. Today, in the interior, the atmosphere of those months between 1937 and 1938 can be revived, by means of a magnificent sonorization.
At 11:00 a.m., at the end we will head to Conficon Turisme i Tradicions to start the guided tour of Tortosa on foot. In the first place we will see the model of the Cathedral, as it would be with the finished façade. Next, we will head to the old town, talking about the river façade, Casa de la Diputación General, Catedral de Santa María (exhibition and altars), Plaza de la Cinta, Portal de los Romeos and Real Colegios. If we still have strength we will go to the Castle of Suda to admire the city from the hill.
