Description

The mountains can be much more than a place for walking or practising sport. Endins in Els Ports is an experience by Educaports that combines nature, physical activity, awareness and shared experiences. It invites participants to experience the mountains through movement, but also through listening, slowing down and connecting with their surroundings.

The project brings together two complementary approaches to experiencing nature. On the one hand, it includes mountain activities, games, challenges and group dynamics. On the other hand, it introduces conscious breathing, meditation, bodywork and moments of silence. In this way, each programme becomes a shared experience that goes beyond physical activity.

Endins in Els Ports: experiencing the mountains differently

Endins was created to use the mountains as a setting for both personal and collective discovery. For this reason, the experience seeks a balance between activity and rest, movement and listening, adventure and introspection.

The experience is led by Jordi Cirera and Cèlia Espanya, who bring complementary perspectives. Jordi Cirera focuses on physical activity, mountain sports, games, challenges and group dynamics.

At the same time, Cèlia Espanya introduces conscious breathing, meditation, bodywork and moments of silence. Together, these elements provide different ways of experiencing and connecting with the mountains.

Activity, awareness and nature

Nature provides the setting for the different activities. However, the aim is not simply to follow a route or overcome a physical challenge.

In fact, Endins combines periods of activity and movement with moments of rest and observation. The activities encourage participants to experience their surroundings through the body. Meanwhile, breathing and awareness practices invite them to focus on the present moment and the landscape.

In this way, the mountains become more than simply the setting for the activities. They are also an essential part of the experience itself.

A shared experience

Spending time together is another important aspect of Endins. Activities, challenges and group dynamics provide opportunities to share the experience with other participants.

In addition, moments of silence, rest and individual practice allow everyone to follow their own pace. This balance is an integral part of the experience.

The aim is for what participants experience during their stay to become a source of shared learning. Therefore, the focus is not on sporting performance, but on personal and collective experiences in contact with nature.

No previous mountain experience required

One of the characteristics of Endins is that no previous experience in mountain activities is required. The programmes are designed for people with a basic level of physical fitness.

As a result, the pace and activities are adapted to the group and the characteristics of each programme. The aim is neither to compete nor to achieve a particular level of sporting performance.

Age requirements may vary between editions. For this reason, participants should check the age range established for each programme before registering.

Preparing for the experience

Participants need suitable equipment for mountain activities. Educaports recommends items such as a backpack, mountain footwear, comfortable clothing, warm clothing, waterproof or windproof outerwear, sunscreen, a head torch and a water bottle.

Programmes that include an overnight stay in a mountain refuge may require additional equipment. Therefore, participants should always check the specific requirements for each edition before preparing their backpack.

Finally, Endins offers a different way to experience the mountains. Physical activity, nature, breathing, awareness and shared experiences come together in a programme designed to step away from the everyday routine and experience the surroundings more attentively.
