Description

This building, built in 1911 and designed by the architect Josep Maria Vaquer i Urquizú, is located between the confluence of carrer Montcada and the Angel, in the herat of the city’s shopping area. Its façade, decorated with a great ornamental load of floral motifs, is inspired by Art Nouveau.

The construction has hosted the Hotel Fonda Siboni since 1912, which closed its doors for good at the end of the 20th century.This became a renowned establishment in the city due to the sumptuous decoration and hte quality of its dishes, and it quickly became the epicentre of the social life in Tortosa.

The House Lamote de Grignon is listed as a Cultural asset of Local interest, thus protecting the façade and the main staicase.
